What type of information do I collect?
When you place an order, I collect the following information: Personal identifiers, including your title, name, company name (where applicable), address (including postcode), telephone number(s), and email address.
I collect information not directly linked to your name but associated with an IP address during your visit to our website. This includes recording the date and time of your visit, tracking the pages you explore and the duration of each visit, and noting the page from which you exited my website, along with any referring website or advertisement that led you to our site..
How do I gather your information and what do I use it for?
Your personal information is provided by you through my website, an email or a telephone/video call.
I need the information to process your order or provide you with promotional information if you have requested it and not placed an order (in which case I do not gather more than your name, email address or other data you may have volunteered).
I do not receive personal information indirectly through any other sources.
I do not share your personal information with third-parties.

The lawful bases I rely upon for processing your information are:
a. Your consent if you have opted in to receive marketing information from me. You can remove your consent at any time by contacting chris@chris-shaw.co.uk
b. I need it to process your order and supply the services you have requested.
How I store your personal information
I securely store your personal information.
I do not retain paper-based copies of your personal information.
I store your information in digital format, including emails or a database of inquiries, estimates, and orders. I protect this data using at least one type of credential authentication.
I retain your personal information for 90 days if you contact me but choose not to place an order.
I hold your personal information for 12 months if you place an order with me and then cease to continue as a client when the service provision is complete and you choose not to provide marketing consent. This is for the purpose of easing the handling of any further queries in respect of your order.
I retain personal information for 36 months if you place an order with me and provide marketing consent. If you do not respond to any marketing or contact us during this period, I will delete the information unless you confirm through an email request that you still want to receive marketing contact from me.
When I delete your personal information, I remove it from all my digital system and no further record of your data is kept on other systems.
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law you have rights, including:
a. Your right of access – You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information.
b. Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask me to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete.
c. Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask me to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
d. Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask me to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
e. Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
f. Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that I transfer the personal information you gave me to another organisation, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.
