I begin with a full technical SEO audit of your website. The focuses on areas that are critical factors in Google’s ability to read your site.

For example, I examine the site structure and ensure that pages can be crawled and indexed by Google.

I investigate the website architecture and how it performs on mobile devices, an incredibly important part of Google’s search indexing process today.

It isn’t uncommon for this part of the audit to reveal data that can be addressed quickly and have a huge impact on your site visibility.

This stage of the SEO audit is what many client might see as the more typical process.

It looks at the elements on each page of your website.

For example, meta titles, descriptions, image ALT text, internal links (to other pages on your site), headers and the body text of pages are all examined.

Whether your company has paid significant attention to the role these elements play in Google SERPs (search engine ranking pages) indexing isn’t important, because I won’t just look at whether such elements exist.

I make a point of assessing the relevance of the content, giving recommendations based on the latest Google advice.

The off-page SEO audit stage examines all the external factors influencing your site.

Most businesses understand these, primarily, as being the backlinks that link to your site from others.

The process investigates the backlinks to your site, their domain authority and referring page authorities, splitting referrals into domain referrals and URL referrals.

I further examine, where possible, the relevancy of backlinks and the gain/loss rate of them to your site.

I also investigate broken links when identified.

Finally, I investigate content marketing and social media relevancy, activity and, if requested at an optional premium, will review the effectiveness of your social media.

The local SEO audit phase is a complete assessment of your Google Business profile, online listings and any relevant local business site you operate (if applicable).

Your visibility in Google Business searches and Google Maps is reviewed and any opportunities to enhance your profile are identified.

The relevance of the local SEO audit phase differs from client to client, particularly if you operate a solely online business with no physical locations for customers to visit.

However, I will also look for potential opportunities in respect of rich snippets that local businesses can often exploit.

When the SEO audit is complete, I prepare a full a detailed report of findings. This report will contain all the technical data of the audit and full explanations.

However, I appreciate that not all clients want this and prefer to see concise and clear recommendations.

I ensure the report summarises all my recommended actions in a way that anyone in your business can understand and act on.

The report then prioritises these recommendations, putting you in a position to take full advantage of easy to resolve issues before moving on to more time-consuming and less important elements.

It isn’t uncommon for the report to reveal factors businesses have been puzzled about for long periods of time.

In addition to providing you with the SEO audit report, I offer a video meeting to discuss any elements of it.

This type of meeting can clarify any areas you have questions about or are unsure of. The opportunity to hold the video call is free of charge, you will not be invoiced for the time spent on the call.

I value the opportunity to explain recommendations and we can discuss the process of repairing the issues identified in the report if you wish to.
